Okinoshima Beach exploration, water play, wildlife search, Picnic and S'Mores, and beach clean up. (2)

Pick up will be by car outside McDonalds at Tachikawa staion south side at 6:30 and drop off at 18:30. If  you are in central Tokyo I will pick you up at 7:30 at Koenji J.R. station, drop off at 17:30. Drop off time may be affected by Traffic so I will update the arrival time 1hr in advance. Please note the early pickup and late drop off.

From Tachikawa station we will head by car to Okinoshima.

Before arriving at the beach we will stop to shop for food for the picnic.

Once we arrive we will explore the coast line (wading) and rock formations while searching for signs of wildlife and picking up any trash along the way.

while we explore we'll do some swiming/wading.

As we find things we are interested in the Scouts will photograph it and we will research what we can about the creatures we come across.

After lunch we will rest and do the research that we can before getting into some beach games.

Before heading back we will have a treasure hunt for shells, pebbles,and smooth sea glass to use for craft at a later date. Aside from the regular items, your Scout will need swim suit, flotation device, river shoes, and a camera if possible.

700 yen from your scouts allowance will go towards the car ride and will be logged in their notebooks. I hope to see you there!!
