Winter Ski camp at T.A.K. Clubhouse in Tochigi

Please Note: Booking  one month in advance is required. 

We will need a minimum of 2 Scouts to run this camp so after booking you wil be put on the waiting list until the ratio is reached. 

Fee for this Winter Ski Camp is 70,000 yen and is all inclusive. 

If your Scout has the appropriate ski gear, the Camp fee can be reduced. 

If for some reason we can't ski at the resort the ski expense of 13,000 per day will be refunded upon our return.

Covering Ski resort & lessons, Meals, etc.

Pick ups and Drop offs may change depending on Scout attendance. You will be notified of any changes 3 weeks prior to the Event.

 

Pick ups on the evening of Thursday the 10th. 

Azabu-Juban 18:00, Koenji 19:00, and Tachikawa 20:00. 

Please be there at least 10 mins ahead of the pickup time. 

Drop of on the evening of Sunday the 13th. Azabu-Juban 4:45, Koenji 17:30-18:00, and Tachikawa 18:00-18:30. Drop off may be affected by traffic so I will update as we go.

As some of the activites are based on the level of snow and weather I'm leaving Sunday itinerary for activities open at this time. 

The cabin location and daily itinerary for the weekend will be sent to attendees 2 weeks prior to event date.

Basic Itinerary: 

Thursday night: Arrive at the Cabin at 22:00, brush teeth and head to bed.

Friday: Start the day at 6:00. Scouts prep and cook pancakes before tidying up, packing and heading out the door at 8:00 for Skiing at Nasu Onsen Family Ski Resort. We will have a private Ski Lesson for our group from 9:50-15:00.

While out for the day the scouts and I will discuss and decide on what to buy and cook for breakfast & lunch on Sunday. 

Back at the cabin by 16:00 and freshen up before starting on any homework that needs doing. Before starting a board game.

Dinner will be curry rice, cheesey cream sauce pasta, or beef stew. Scouts helping with prep for dinner is optional.

Dinner at 18:30. After the clean up is done we will have parent check in opportunities from 19:30-19:45. Then finish the board game or watch a movie. 

Lights out at 22:00.

Saturday: Start the day at 6:00. Scouts prep and cook pancakes before tidying up, packing and heading out the door at 8:00 for Skiing at Nasu Onsen Family Ski Resort. We will have a private Ski Lesson for our group from 9:50-15:00.

Will wrap up our activity at 14:00 and be on the expressway by 14:30.

More details concerning what to bring, etc, and the full itinerary and item list will be sent out to those attending.

For a little heads up, aside from the regular items the Scouts will need:

Snow jacket/pants/boots/gloves/hat/googles.

Sleeping arrangment depending on ratios:

Girls 2nd floor room with separate bathroom facilities and one female Scout Leader.

Boys 1st floor room with myself sleeping in the adjacent room.

All rooms are futons on the floor. Each Scout will have two stacked futons, pillow, sleeping bag, and duvet provided by us.
